President of Sokran
|
Sokran was
first established in 1981 with the simple thought of
carrying on the traditional Korean cuisine. Even though
Sokran experienced various ups and downs along the time,
we have grown to become an excellent restaurant continuously
loved not only by the Korean customers, but also numerous
foreigners, during the past 20 years. Currently, we
have set ourselves as a first-class traditional Korean
restaurant with the huge space of 350 seats, which is
hard to find in Kangbuk. Sokran will continue doing
our best to satisfy the tastes of customers from all
over the world, as a food culture creator who raises
the quality of the Korean cuisine to the next level.
This
growth of Sokran is based on our unique philosophy of
repaying our customers for their enthusiasm. We have
continued developing the taste and quality of our food,
and at the same time, minimize the price. We put in
our best to practice our philosophy of customer satisfaction
by providing the best food to our customers instead
of aiming for short-run profits.

| |
To practice our philosophy, Sokran's staff has been devoted
to strict customer satisfaction in every detail including
directly purchasing the day's ingredients at the dawn market,
and making every spices. We devoted ourselves to make the
food as if for our own loving family, and tried our best for
all the customers to enjoy Sokran's cuisine with cleanliness
and cheap prices.
Many important
guests from overseas have visited Sokran, and praised the
traditional Korean cuisine of Sokran. For example, a large
number of important people living in Korea, the principal
of a world famous cooking school, the wife of former French
President, Giscard d'Estaing, etc, have highly praised our
cuisine.

High
praise by the principal of the best cooking school in France
Andre Cointreau, the president
of Le Cordon Bleu, the best cooking school in France,
visited Korea in 1992, and gave unstinted praise to Korean
cuisine.
Mr. Cointreau had a meal at Sokran and described Sokran's
cuisine, as immediately wrapped around by the tongue.
He said, "I have tasted all the food in each Asian
country, but not many has satisfied me at the first taste.
But Sokran's Korean cuisine is immediately wrapped around
by the tongue." He also praised that, "The Korean
cuisine is of a significant level. With more development,
it may become a world-wide cuisine."
He is also the 3rd heir of the Cointreau family that produces
world famous cognac, Remy Martin.

The

would be France and China. Especially, France is home to the
best cuisine in the whole world, and is acknowledged by everyone
around the world as the food heaven.
Sokran's Korean cuisine again proved that it is enough to satisfy
the world's best taste through the former first lady of France.
